My interest in textile art started with sewing, knitting and crocheting, which I learnt as a child, later, weaving, then screen printing. However, it was when I took part in my first felt making workshop whith Carol Divall in 2010, that I discovered the joy of working with fibres and textiles.
I have explored a wide range of textile arts, including machine and hand embroidery, beading and a variety of felt making techniques. I’ve experimented with dyes created with natural techniques. I’ve experimented with dyes created with natural materials includeing leaves, seeds, skins of fruit and vegetables.
Much of my work is a fusion of techniques and materials.
